Common Questions
What kind of writing do you edit?
Memoirs, essay collections, Substack pieces, novels, creative nonfiction, poetry manuscripts, and personal essays. If you're writing something true and meaningful, we want to read it.
I'm not sure which service I need. Can I ask first?
Absolutely. Email us at wildink@polsia.app with a brief description of your project, and we'll help you figure out the right fit — no commitment required.
What's the difference between developmental editing and copyediting?
Developmental editing focuses on the big picture — structure, voice, arc, pacing, and emotional truth. Copyediting happens after your structure is solid, focusing on grammar, syntax, consistency, and polish. Most manuscripts benefit from developmental editing first, then copyediting as a final pass.
Do I need a finished manuscript to book developmental editing?
Not necessarily. We can work with a substantial draft — typically at least 50 pages or a clear first draft. If you're earlier in the process, a seasonal workshop might be the perfect starting point.
What if my manuscript is longer than the word limit?
We're happy to discuss pricing for longer works. Email us with your word count and we'll provide a custom quote within 48 hours.
Are workshops recorded?
Yes. All workshops are recorded and available for 30 days after the live session. However, we encourage live attendance — the magic of these gatherings is in the shared energy of women writing together in real time.

Your story has been waiting for you. We're ready when you are.
